2015 was spent obsessing, preparing and enduring the biggest journey i have ever faced. this journey initially was set out to be about seeing and doing, but over time it revealed, then healed more than i had asked for or knew that i needed to. i traveled for over three consecutive months, leaving a trail that stretched from miami to the california coast. along the way friendships were made, fears were conquered and lives were changed. mostly mine. the biggest thing i took away from time spent collecting miles over the past year is that the way i see life will never be the same.
my friend annie vazquez asked me, “what has changed about you that wasn’t a part of you.” i’d say,
know that persistence strengthens patience. patience leads to changes. changes within you, with in the environment that surrounds you and within the world. want the world to change? it starts with the commitment to being uncomfortable, to facing your fears. it starts with changing you.
i’ve seen and done very little on this earth. but, the things that i have seen and the experiences that i have had, put me in a place where i will forever live, craving more from myself and the world i live in.
if tomorrow comes and this is all i see, for this, i am thankful.
