#DADDEFINEDOUTDOORS, SHARED BY ALLISON FORTUNA
when i think back to my childhood, my fondest memories are in the outdoors with my dad. we were lucky enough to grow up with a large backyard, surrounded by woods and a stream and on a street with a cul-de-sac.
being outdoors with my dad ranged from helping him in the garden (eating all the tomatoes he picked), riding bikes, playing softball, going fishing or shooting bb guns. the possibilities were endless.
as i got older we continued to work out together, but weren’t able to get outdoors as much. in the past few years i really wanted us to get back to our roots, therefore
we started off with easy trails just to be able to get outside, talk and spend time together. this lead to us actually planning trips for full day hikes.
getting outdoors and being active is one of the most important aspects of my life that my father has taught me.
i naturally value and appreciate nature, and make it a point to travel and see more.
