California winters never fall short of providing a handful of things on repeat: Easy surf, beautiful sunsets + a plethora of opportunities to chill + hang with good people. So when we meet the ladies behind, SurfDurt, we couldn’t think of any better way to spend a Friday evening than with our new friends doing some of our favorite things.
The Durt Gang brought their boards + a bundle of their reef safe sunscreen. With some sips + snacks, a few friends + plenty of firewood to make us forget about how chilly the winter night might get, we grabbed a campsite at San Elijo State Beach and invited all our amigos. We met, some surfed, others gazed in awe as the sun tucked away into the horizon, leaving us with a shower of applause-worthy colors transforming the day to night.
The reminder we were left with is no matter where you’re coming from or how you like to spend your days if you’re in Southern California, there are a few things that we can all agree are worthy of making time to get outside the grind for: Sunsets. Surf. And bonfire hangs.
