We read Wild (don’t care what anyone says, it was great) have been itching to toss everything to the wind and hit a trail every since. But, truthfully speaking, where does one start for a feat like this? Practicality, planning + preparation are three things on the top of our pack list. Heading out with everything you need to survive (and have fun) for a stint of time takes some pre-thought out organization. And keeping this simple and minimal while covering all the essentials +making sure that you leave minimal impacts on the environment you’re getting out into takes time, effort and strategy.
With backpacking now top of the to do list, we called our girl Alyx Schwarz, backpacking, camping + hiking expert and founder of Shoestring Adventures to help us learn the ropes and share all the need to knows that will help get you packed up and outside.
Come spend a 1/2 day with us for our second Outdoor Innovators Workshop + leave with tips, tricks + tools to confidently make taking your own backpacking adventure part of this summer’s to dos.
At Stranded on Land, our goal is to inspire outdoor connections that provide our community opportunities to push comfort zones + get outside the grind through our online content + offline experiences.
