at the roots, there’s a special memory with a special someone who sparked each of our curiosities and connection for the outdoors. for us, it began with dad. wee early morning fishing and silent long hikes with our pops is what defined our first appreciations for mother nature. these simple moments have built us into the women we are and have created not only a love for, but a necessity to emerge into the outdoors as much as possible and is an essentially foundation of Stranded on Land.
this year, june 19 is a day set aside to honor and appreciate dad’s across america. we’re non-officially declaring june as the month of inspiring dudes of the outdoors. we’re centering our content through the month around those that have connected, inspired and shared moments in the outdoors with us.
join us as we tell how big the little things really are and collectively encourage others to share their love and passion for the outdoors with the littles in their lives. all month long, we’ll be posting, reposting and engaging you on instagram with
tag your photos with @strandedonland + the hashtag #DadDefinedOutdoors to share with us of how you’re sharing your love for being emerged in nature with someone important to you.
whether it’s a dad by definition, a dad-like figure, a mom that rocked it out better than any dad ever could, a father who’s sharing his nature tips with the kids or a mom who knows a rockstar dude of the outdoors, we want to see how these relationships define getting outside for you. we’ll repost some of our favorites throughout the month and announce a winner on sunday, july 3rd in our #somestoriesinspire story share. winner will receive a $50 gift card to rei to share with their outdoor dude of choice.
